Diamond wire on spool

Spool diamond wires are wires which are coated with diamonds and wound on spools in the desired length.

Their main application is where other cutting processes reach their limits, for example in the thin cutting kerf (less than 0.1 mm) or in the relatively gentle cut. This has the advantage that workpieces to be cut are only lightly clamped and thus not deformed, and there is also no significant temperature effect. In addition, cuts can be made from closed contours by previously threading the diamond wire outwards.

Spool wires can only be used in "TWO-WAY-CUT" saws.
