Champagne glass

This is a fine 0.1 l champagne glass. The cut shows how precisely and finely it can be cut with our precision diamond wire saws. In addition to the machine, the diamond wire and the sample clamping also play an important role.

Rubber lip

This is a rubber lip where the position and connection of the metal insert should be checked.

Magnet

This special magnet, consisting of many different materials with different properties, should be separated to observe the microstructure.

Rock wool

The insulation manufacturer wants to separate its insulation materials - in this case rock wool - precisely and cleanly.

Cement block

The special cement blocks should be cut with a thin cutting gap of less than 0.3 mm and with dimensional accuracy.

Hardened steel ball

This is a hardened steel ball with a diameter of 3 mm, such as those used in ball bearings. After the hardening process, the hardness test can be carried out more easily on the separated ball.

Quartz glass

This is a quartz glass that must be separated for testing purposes.

Karton

Auch Karton lässt sich mittels Diamantdraht sauber, exakt und ohne große Rückstände trennen.

Electric motor

This is an electric motor with a strong magnetic core that had to be separated in the middle by the axle, the core and the two plain bearings.

Enameled probe

The glass-lined probe was to be separated for testing purposes. During the water jet separation process, the enamel burst off. Other separation methods failed completely. The desired result could only be achieved with the diamond wire cutting technique (image on the right).

Vehicle tires

This is a vehicle tire consisting of rubber compounds, nylon and steel, etc. The exact embedding of the steel belt in the tire can be determined by the separating cut.

Silicon chip

This is a silicon chip that was separated with a 0.08 mm diamond wire. The voltage was applied horizontally. The cut was terminated by means of an adjusted end stop.

Beverage bottle

This is a drinks bottle. Here too, the machine, the diamond wire and the clamping of the bottle are crucial for the precise cut. The different glass wall thicknesses of the bottle can be analyzed through the cut.

Model car

This is a motor vehicle (car). A model vehicle, of course! However, it is also possible to cut through a real vehicle, but with an appropriate diamond wire saw.

Circuit board

This is a circuit board of a computer, consist of many different materials.  The cut shows how fine on the board resistors, capacitors, etc. can be separated without pushing away.

Carbide insert

This is a carbide insert which may be defective during manufacture. This can be checked after one or more fine cut-offs.

Zirconium rods

This is a round rod made of zirconium, which is used for processing in dental laboratories, for example.  

Carbon tube

This carbon pipe should be cut crosswise and at 45°.

Underground cable

This is an underground cable made of copper, metal and rubber. After the fine separation cut, the exact arrangement of the individual strands can be determined after the production process.

Ceramic disks

Ceramic parts can be cut cleanly and precisely, whether for production or quality control purposes.

Bonded component

If the component is defective, it must be separated again at the bonding point before disposal.

Internal combustion engine

This is a cut through an internal combustion engine. Among other things, the spark plug, pistons, connecting rods, roller bearings and housing were sawn through.

Coin

This is a coin (10 cents) that has been cut into three slices using two fine saw cuts. It should be noted that the coin must also be clamped (held). In this case with special wax on a ceramic disk.

Medicine bottle

The quality control of this medication vial must also be carried out on the inside. The vial must be separated for this purpose.

Meteorit

Hierbei handelt es sich um ein Gestein aus dem Weltall, einen sogenannten Meteoriten. Er besteht aus Silikatmineralen und einer Eisen-Nickel-Legierung. Der Schweizer Sammler beabsichtigt die Meteoriten in Scheiben zu trennen und diese zu Schmuck zu verarbeiten.

Sensor

This sensor was separated for presentation purposes at trade fairs.

Rubber-metal profile

These are profile strips from the automotive industry. The rubber-metal combinations must be separated in quality control and then checked on the contour side.

Screw

This involves the central separation of an expansion measuring screw.

Tires with rim

A tire and wheel manufacturer also presented separate versions of its products at the IAA motor show. In the case of the tire, you can clearly see the clean position of the metal mesh.

Gas nozzle

These ceramic gas nozzles were cut to length. The special MS85 vice was used as a clamping device.

Electronic component (eprom)

This is an electronic component, an eprom (storage medium) whose connecting claws lead to a chip, here visibly precise and finely separated.

Concrete cylinder

For testing purposes, this concrete cylinder had to be cut into slices. To improve the surface, the part was also turned during the sawing process.

Objective

This 30 kg heavy and 40 mm long lens with 16 optical lenses was separated for exhibition purposes.

3D printing

Cutting the 3D printed parts from the carrier plate (SLM) can be carried out cleanly using a diamond wire cut. The cutting gap can be less than 0.5 mm.

Insulation pipe

This is an insulation pipe that was cut for testing purposes.

rubber sleeve

The quality of this rubber sleeve can only be tested with a cold and almost burr-free cut.

Spark plug of an internal combustion engine

This is the separating cut of the spark plug of a gasoline internal combustion engine. The spark plug consists of different materials.
